SAGA College is pleased to announce the inauguration of its first annual Sustainability Week, slated to take place from April 15-19, 2024. This initiative underscores the college's commitment to fostering sustainability and environmental responsibility across campus.
Over 50 companies from diverse industries will be on campus, representing sectors such as technology, education, healthcare, and finance. Students will have the chance to interact with recruiters, learn about job openings, and gather insights into potential career paths.
"Our Job Fair is a key opportunity for students to engage with employers and explore their future career options," said Puan Sarah Alias, Manager of Career Services. "We encourage all students to come prepared with resumes and questions for the employers."
In addition to networking opportunities, workshops on resume writing, interview skills, and job search strategies will be offered throughout the day. A complete schedule of these workshops will be available on the Career Services website.
Students are encouraged to register for the event in advance through the Career Services portal to facilitate smooth check-in on the day of the fair.

SAGA College Sets Ambitious Roadmap to Achieve University Status
SAGA College is pleased to announce the launch of an ambitious roadmap aimed at achieving university status in the near future. This strategic initiative reflects the college’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and enhancing academic excellence for its students and community.
The plan will focus on several key areas, including curriculum development, faculty recruitment, research enhancement, and infrastructure improvements. By elevating its academic programs and resources, SAGA College aims to meet the rigorous standards required for university accreditation.
"Our goal is to create a transformative educational environment that meets the evolving needs of our students and prepares them for the future," said Dr. Muhammad Rafi Zainuddin, Vice President – Academic of SAGA College. "Achieving university status will allow us to offer a wider range of degree programs and research opportunities, ultimately benefiting our students and the community."
As part of this initiative, the college will engage in comprehensive consultations with students, faculty, and industry partners to gather input and ensure alignment with community needs. Updates on the progress of the roadmap will be shared regularly through the college's website and newsletters.
In the coming months, SAGA College will also host events and forums to educate stakeholders about the benefits of the transition and to invite feedback on the proposed changes.
